If you aren’t familiar yet with the Mythgard Institute, a good place to begin is here, with Sørina Higgins’ lecture on C.S. Lewis’ provocative and intriguing idea of “joy.”
On Tuesday, I gave a guest lecture at Signum University’s Mythgard Institute as a supplement to the course on C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. The talk was entitled “The Heraldry of Heaven: The Development of Sehnsucht in the Writings of C.S. Lewis.” In it, I discuss the longing or yearning that drove Lewis to explore Romantic poetry and mystical encounters in his writings.
Thanks for posting this, Brenton! Your comments/critique on the lecture would be very welcome.
